AND PUSARTI MAKES ITS FINAL MOVE. I HOPE....

PAROI
PAROI
The School of Artillery or PUSARTI started off as a training wing of the field artillery within LATEDA, in Port Dickson. The Air Defence training was then carried out in S Bty LLAD in Sg. Besi mostly. Upon expansion/consolidation,

the first move was to Paroi Camp in Seremban where T Bty LLAD was located and then relocated to Sg. Besi. Paroi Camp was a "busy" location for many units to share. There was initially the first 4 Arty which became 21 Arty, then 12 Indpt Bty, then 41 Arty (Ceremonial). Eventually the school became the resident occupant with a full fledged Field Wing, AD Wing, Locating Wing, Tactics Wing, Curriculum Wing and Apprentice Wing. Taking on the new designation as PUSARTI (Pusat Latihan Artileri for short), the school functioned full swing, meeting the needs of the Corps. Then came one fine day when the Negeri Sembilan State Government needed the camp location for expansion of the State Sports Complex/ Stadium. A decision was made to relocate PUSARTI to Segenting Camp, Port Dickson, where at that time the Sekolah Pegawai Kadet (SPK) was fated to discontinue its training of officers.

A phased transfer of wings and departments were done until finally Paroi was abandoned for good. PUSARTI had a good run in Segenting until the time came for it to make way for the Army College (Kolej Tentera Darat or KTD), a spanking new complex overseeing the sea.

PUSARTI now resides in Kem Syed Sirajuddin in Gemas. The planning of Gemas as the home of PUSARTI was done in the early 90's as part of the Combat Arms Training Centre (CATC), but only now it is slowly becoming a reality. The current complex consists of the Training Wing, Curriculum Unit and simulator rooms with more to come in the future. For all intents and purposes you may say that PUSARTI is home at last. Historically, the Gunners have moved from KAJANG to GEMAS!
